Carambars, a French Favorite!

Carambars have always been a French classic and one of the most popular French treats. Very convenient for goodie bags, they are also known for their "Blagues Carambars", a joke or riddle that is written on the inside of the wrapping.

Provence Paintings

Just sharing with you those paintings that we fell for recently. They feature trees, flowers and plants - especially mediterranean ones that can be found in Provence. The vivid colors, the somewhat naive design, along with the captions on most of them ("Le Figuier", "Arbre de Provence", Laurier", "Herbes de Provence"...) give them this unique touch that we absolutely loved.

The French artist, Virginie de Rohden, lives in Aix en Provence, in the South of France. She enjoys painting Provence flowers and plants and finds inspiration when working outdoors.

New at Saveur du Jour: a French Surprise Box... Imagine getting a box filled with authentic French products for a period of 6 months. One month would be Paris month, next would be French food month, next would be Provence month etc.
