The start of summer is officially here, and the Saveur du Jour team could not be more excited! We can't wait to pass the summer days outdoors, barbequing with friends and family. The festival lasts the entire day and is celebrated in all towns & villages throughout France. Jack Lang, the French minister of culture, invented this celebration in 1982. He was amazed when he found out that 1 out of 2 people in France played a musical instrument and he wanted a way to bring people out of the streets to enjoy music. This idea rapidly spread, and World Music Day is now celebrated in more than 120 countries! Easy Provencal marinade From fish to meats, to vegetables, this marinade will add a French flair to your summer meal. Most ingredients can be found on Saveur du Jour. Ingredients: Olive oil (your desired amount) Juice of 1 lemon (optional) 1 tablespoon of Provence herbes blend 1 tablespoon rosemary 1 tablespoon thyme 1 garlic clove, finely chopped 1/3 tablespoon of sea salt a pinch of pepper Mix ingredients together, then rub into desired food. Goes great with fish, pork, beef, and vegetables like bell peppers & mushrooms. Then, grill your food as instructed.

Amora Mustard ("Moutarde Amora") is stronger than most American mustards. People use this Amora mustard to make a French vinaigrette or to give additional flavor to a piece of meat.
