As we are entering the month of July, summer is in full swing, and so is vacation!  The Tour de France, a huge cycling race, takes place every year for 3 weeks in July. The cyclists cover over 2,000 miles of ground through small villages and conclude in Paris! The entirety of this event is filmed and is a popular event for the French to watch on TV. Lastly, on July 14th, France celebrates Bastille Day, to remember the French Revolution on July 14th 1789. Just like America's fourth of July, Bastille Day in France is celebrated with firework shows everywhere, as well as a military parade on the Champs Elysees and a flyover by the French air force.
