Cachou Lajaunie are still made in Toulouse, France, where they were invented by the pharmacist Leon Lajaunie in 1890. The trademark small yellow tin was invented by a clock-maker friend of Lajaunie, who designed it to fit in a watch-pocket.
To get out the mints, just twist the top and bottom of the mini tin until a little opening appears, and let one or two of those tiny black bit drop in your hand.
